The idea of “outing” your mental illness in a public forum can be a terrifying thing. You might be starting a new job, working with colleagues who aren’t as open as you’d like, or maybe you’re just simply not ready to share your story. Whether we like it or not, stigma is out there. And that is why The Committed Project exists. Everyone has special talents, unique abilities and things at which they are just darn awesome. But not everyone has an outlet to use them towards solving the world’s problems. Here is your chance!
We are looking for volunteers to help us grow this organization and really get moving to achieve our goal of spreading resources and ending stigma. You may not be ready to share your personal story just yet, but you may be ready to help in another way. Do you like to do research? Do you like to do graphic design? Are you awesome at finding your way around social media? Do you have an interest in ending the stigma against mental illness in higher education? We would love to hear from you!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can’t wait to work with you to end stigma!
